Group Chief Financial Officer
An Accountant by profession and a fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants in the UK, and of the Malta Institute of Accountants. As Group CFO, Alan oversees the financial management and strategic planning of the Group. He also provides broad management, internal control and strategic advice to management. Alan joined the Company in 2019 and has worked closely with the Company’s Senior Leadership since his arrival. He has over two decades of building and leading finance teams in global companies with significant operating scale and complexity. He is a self-motivated, energetic person and team player with experience in a wide range of leadership, management and advisory positions. Alan’s background includes a variety of positions in a number of industries including Aviation, Hospitality and Catering, Construction and Property Development as well as Manufacturing.
Group Chief Operations Officer
Joined Mondial Holidays following training at the Institute of Tourism Studies. Gained experience at different outlets in retail before working for a number of years in the wholesale sector first for the NCL and later for the Costa GSAs where she also ventured into the role of on-ship Cruise Director for a short charter operation. Upon the merger in 2011 appointed Executive Manager in charge of all foreign offices. In 2013 her role was vastly expanded to cover all of Orange’s local and foreign commercial aspects (except for retail in Malta).
Manager – SMSMondial
Started her career with Mondial Holidays in 1998 in the reservations department. After completing
her IATA diploma studies, she was promoted to Supervisor and later to Manager. With over 25 years’
experience in the travel industry, she is responsible for direct sales, technical support to the sales
team, day to day running of the Smsmondial offices and liaising with other company departments
and managers in order to ensure a smooth operation.
She is also in charge of supervising, guiding and monitoring the sales team and for building and
maintaining a good working relationship with both direct and corporate customers. Due to her long
experience and technical knowledge, she also gives training to new employees.
Country Manager for Malta
Since her first steps at Mondial Holidays as an inexperienced travel agent in 1998, her motivation was to pursue in this challenging, yet gratifying career. She gained valuable experience working at our retail offices specializing mainly in leisure travel.
In 2012 she joined our wholesale team organising both groups & individual cruise packages with the various cruise companies we represent. Miriam gained vast experience in the cruise industry and has recently been appointed as Manager taking care of the wholesale office in Malta.
Country Manager for Tunisia
Acquired her diploma in management from the faculty of Economics & Management in Sfax in 1996. Until 1999 she worked with Nautic Tunisia Holidays and during the same year she graduated again in Marketing. Between 1999 and 2010 she lived in Canada and worked with Maxi Voyage & Sunwings of Montreal. In 2007 she pursued her master’s degree in Tourism from the University of Quebec. In 2010 she returned to Tunisia and worked for a small travel agency until 2011. In 2012 she joined newly-formed Orange Tunisia which she helped build up from scratch as its agency supervisor, and in 2015 was promoted to Country Manager and is thus the person ultimately responsible for all commercial matters for which she reports directly to Malta.
Country Manager for Turkey
During his studies worked for Setur, and graduated in Tourism Hotel & Travel Management at Selçuk University in 2008. Spent seven years working at Golden Bay, Turkey’s best-known cruise-specialist, in key areas including cruise operations, river charters, cruise marketing, and agency management. Crucial experience was gained working directly with most of the world’s leading cruise companies. In 2014 took up the role of Operations Manager at the Turkey office of Costa Cruises and contributed significantly to the growth of the operation. Almost two years later joined Pronto Tour – one of Turkey’s largest travel companies. Here Bahadir worked his way up to the position of deputy general manager after being instrumental in transforming the cruise department from B2C to cover also B2B, thus extensively expanding the business into the country’s cruise market leader. Joined Orange in November 2020.
Country Manager for Cyprus
Started his professional career as an accountant at a travel agency but in a short period, in 1978 moved to the travel industry.Worked for 22 consecutive years at one of the major travel agencies and gaining experience and knowledge in the industry with specialisation in the field of outgoing tourism. Since 2000 joined the Amathus Group as the outgoing travel manager of the “Let’s Go Tours” brand. Upon the merger of Let’s Go Tours and Orange Travel Group’s interests in Cyprus, appointed country manager for Orange Travel Cyprus Ltd which continues to trade as Let’s Go Tours.
